Diversity & Tolerance (English)

Diversity and tolerance go hand-in-hand and are two important objectives of the State Department's mission of shaping and sustaining a peaceful, prosperous, just, and democratic world that fosters stability and progress for Americans and people everywhere. Whereas diversity celebrates multiple cultures, religions, and people from all walks of life, tolerance is the act of accepting other people and their way of life with equality and without judgement. Diversity and tolerance go well with cultural programs and learning about the United States.
